Smokey Joe is back with the Shiba Rescue. His last adopter became very ill and could not care for Joe anymore. Joe is a Shiba Inu mix, estimated to be 2 to 21/2 years old. He was first.picked up on the streets of Philadelphia very thin with some hair loss and visible bite marks on him his foster mom went to evaluate him it was clearly visible he was a Shiba mix but he came to us wagging his tail and looking up with his sparkle in his brown eyes with so much life in him still despite it all. Smoking Joe won another fight for his life.
. Joe is still wary of other dogs if approached when on lead but off lead he is more at ease and seems to be fine with other non aggressive dogs. This is not unusual for some dogs that feel they can nor defend themselves due to being restricted.
Joe can also be shy with men at first so a female adopter would be best for Joe. Once Joe learns to trust his soft and very affectionate side comes. Joe is looking for a home that can show him that there are some good loving people in the world. and help him get over his shyness around men..That not everyone will treat him like of Mike Vick treated his dogs.
Joe is Micro chipped, neutered.and up to date on all his shots
